Balloon Event Ops Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to Balloon Event Ops, an event-operations service owned and operated by Sagebrush Building Automation LLC. By accessing an Event account or enrolling in an Event, you agree to use the service only for authorized Event operations.
Authorized use
Event access is limited to invited staff and participants. Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials, follow their assigned role permissions, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to their Event Organizer.
Text-message program
Participants who expressly opt in may receive recurring operational text messages from Balloon Event Ops on behalf of a participating Event. Message frequency varies with Event activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, START to resume after opting out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
Operational limitations
Cellular delivery is not guaranteed and may be delayed or unavailable. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Balloon Event Ops does not replace radio calls, briefings, field commands, emergency services, or other safety procedures established by an Event. Users must follow the Event's official on-field instructions when they conflict with or supersede an electronic message.
Event responsibility
Each participating Event is responsible for its roster, schedules, role assignments, message content, safety decisions, and authorization of staff. Sagebrush Building Automation LLC provides the software and messaging workflow but does not act as the Event's flight authority or safety officer.
Registration date reports
Registration & Operations can compare Pilot-entered dates with the submission date and flag expired or soon-to-expire entries. These indicators assist Event review; they do not authenticate a document, confirm insurance coverage, establish medical eligibility, certify FAA compliance, or replace the Event's own review.
Privacy and changes
Use of the service is also governed by the Balloon Event Ops Privacy Policy. These terms may be updated as the service and carrier requirements change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
